The object of this is to enable the churches to bear a more united witness in the community and to serve it more effectively and enable to churches to do together those things that they are not able to do so well on their own. We are one of over twenty local churches apart of this fellowship.
Providing the homeless of Basildon with food and a place to sleep in the winter.
Guests are welcomed at the venue by a team of volunteers at 9.30 pm, where hot drinks and a light snack such as toast are offered before lights out at 11.00pm. Guests are woken at 7.00am when a light breakfast and hot drinks are on offer. Toiletries and towels are on hand so guests can have a wash in the evening or morning as preferred.
Every effort is made to make guests feel welcome and at home for the night.

Schools Team Ministry
The Schools Team Ministry works to bring the Christian message to the Schools of Basildon. They visit all the primary schools in Basildon and take assemblies, puppet shows, and other meetings that will be both interesting and challenging to the children
There are teams of workers who provide hot meals and fellowship for the homeless three nights a week
In addition to food parcels, foodbank also signposts clients to appropriate services in the borough to help them meet their underlying needs
“…is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter – when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?”
Providing a free hot meal throughout the year (on average 15-20 meals x5 per wk), hot drink & support to any adult in need or rough sleeping/homeless (children not encouraged)
